The Smart Structural Health Monitoring and Control (SSHMC) Lab is excited to announce that our team will attend and present at the 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Automation Control (AIAC 2025), taking place 15-17 October 2025 in Paris, France. AIAC has rapidly become a premier forum for cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI, robotics, and control systems, making it the ideal venue to showcase our latest advances in drone-enabled inspection, vision-based crack analytics, and real-time digital-twin control.

Why AIAC 2025 Matters

  • Global thought-leadership hub, AIAC gathers leading academics, industry innovators, and policymakers working on AI-driven automation. The 2025 edition continues this tradition with a tightly curated program of keynote talks, technical sessions, and poster demos.

  • Focused technical tracks. This year’s call for papers highlights topics such as electromechanical integration, engineering-system modeling, advanced networking of smart actuators/motors, and modern software-development techniques for intelligent control. These domains directly align with our lab’s mission to fuse AI with civil-infrastructure sensing and actuation.

  • Paris as an innovation nexus : Hosting the conference in Paris positions AIAC 2025 at the heart of Europe’s fast-growing AI ecosystem, opening doors for new research collaborations and EU funding conversations.

Example (to be modified)

  1. Deliver an oral presentation on our latest YOLOv8-PLUS vision pipeline that converts UAV-captured bridge imagery into skeletonized crack maps with sub-millimeter precision—reducing manual inspection time by >70 % while boosting detection F1-score by 9 pp on our 18-bridge benchmark.

  2. Demo a live digital-twin dashboard that streams sensor data and drone imagery into a reinforcement-learning controller for vibration suppression on composite-girder bridges.

  3. Host a round-table on “Bridging AI & Civil Infrastructure: From Research Prototypes to Field Deployment” to share cross-disciplinary best practices in dataset-governance, model-risk management, and standards compliance.

(Full presentation schedule will be posted once the conference publishes the final agenda.)
