Professor Suyuan Yu received the bachelor's and master's degrees in fluid mechanics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1988 and 1989, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Davis, Davis, CA, USA, in
1998.,From 1989 to 1994, he worked in structural mechanics with the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University.
From 1998 to 1999, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Chemical Engineering, Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA. Since 1999, he has been with Tsinghua University, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Energy and Power Engineering.
