David PEREZ DE LARA

Prof. David Perez de Lara is a foreign expert selected under the ‘QM plan’ of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China and the leader of the Zhejiang Provincial Leadership Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team, working on Condensed Matter Physics, two-dimensional materials and Photovoltaic devices. He is also senior consultant of the International Carbon and new Materials Union (ICMU) in collaboration with the Beijing Graphene Technology Research Institute (BIG).
He got his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics in 2003 at Autonoma University of Madrid (Spain) in collaboration with the National Research Council (Italy). He has been a researcher professor at ESTEC – European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk (1997-1999, The Netherlands), at the Italian National Research Council (1999-2007 CNR Italy), at the Complutense University of Madrid (2007-2010, Spain), at IMDEA Nanoscience Institute in Madrid (2010-2020 Spain) and Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT, 2020-2023, China). He got the distinguished researcher distinction of the Spanish National Ministry of Science and Innovation in 2019. He is the President of the Network of Researchers between Spain and China (RICE), and coordinator of the group of Physics of EURAXESS in China. He is adjunct research professor in Huzhou Institute of Zhejiang University (2023 HIZJU, China), Associate Professor of Quantum Physics and Quantum Computing at International University of La Rioja (2023 UNIR, Spain) and Technical Director of Zhejiang Beyondsun Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
He has published more than 60 papers in SCI journals such as Nature partner journals, Advanced Materials, Physical Review B, etc. and has been leading 16 important research projects funded by the EU and Marie Curie Programs.
