Dr. Alexandre VU is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), France. He earned a Master’s degree in Systems Optimization and Security in 2010, followed by a Ph.D. in the same field in 2014, both from the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), France.
His current research focuses on data science and predictive maintenance in the context of Industry 4.0. His expertise includes anomaly detection and failure prediction using machine learning and deep learning techniques, as well as maintenance optimization for complex industrial systems through meta-heuristics.
Dr. VU has authored or co-authored over 50 scientific publications and has chaired several international conference sessions on smart maintenance and system reliability. He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Reliability and Safety and is a guest editor for the Journal of Mathematics. In 2022, he co-founded a Master’s program in Data Science in Angola.
